After months of deliberation, Broadcast 90 has decided that it's time for a name change. To better reflect the band's persona and sound, the 5 piece 90's rock tribute will soon be known as "Rock the 90's : The Official 90's Rock Tribute."
"Though we've been performing together for almost three years, we often see an identity issue between the band and our name," says founder and lead vocalist Hugh Hession. "We wanted a name that truly reflects what we do in one phrase and would describe this exactly on any venue marquee, poster or event. It takes the guesswork out of it."
Rock the 90's is not just a band, it's an experience. A well-rehearsed, high-energy show that travels the road of 90's rock on all levels, including the detours and back roads of an often forgotten decade that produced some of the best guitar-driven rock in music history.
"90's rock is very deceiving regarding its level of difficulty to play and perform," acknowledges Hession. "Not just anyone can pull it off accurately. This is a show that we work incredibly hard at, so when we hit the stage, we are comfortable and in the zone. That way we can deliver the very best show to our fans."
Broadcast 90 will not launch the name change all at once, but rather in stages. Their current tour schedule will likely still be presented as "Broadcast 90," however added shows will reflect the new name. "We'll use "Rock the 90's" (Formerly Broadcast 90) until it catches on," says Hugh. "We assure you, it's the same band and music you love. Just under a different name!"
